What is "Our Flag Means Community"?

We know it’s been a pretty tough couple of years in the Our Flag Means Death fandom (and the world), but a common message shared by our beloved cast members is that we are a community and now is a time for us to come together more than ever.

We are a small international team who have met each other in various spaces and times and decided we wanted to make sure it all happened again! Because too right, we are a community and we want to be silly and happy and weird together.

Our first event, The Wee Con in Edinburgh, Scotland (and online) from 31 Oct - 2 Nov, 2025, was a roaring success! And now we're thinking about what comes next...

If you have ideas, get in touch! Mayhaps Our Flag Means Community regional editions can spring up in different locations in future.

Who's behind all of this?

For those who don’t know me, hello! I’m Fyre! I’ve been doing fandom stuff online for 25 years at this point and I’ve been neck-deep in Our Flag Means Death since March 2022. I am also the person who makes the OFMD muppets, half a dozen of which are now in the hands of cast/crew of the show. My last KS project was my 2025 OFMD puppet calendar :)

The Wee Con 2025 was my impromptu baby. After my experience of my first con late last year, I wanted to bring all the energy of the fandom folk at that con back together again but with more focus on the fans and less focus on the commercial elements. (Also, something up north! The first ever Scottish OFMD event!)

It was only a vague imagining until I ended up with a cheer-squad who encouraged and help me make it a reality. They are a fantastic team from all over the place: flyingrat42, DenizB33, Melee Islander, Obliquity, Glitterary, PoshTater, Illia, Hayley, stedezissou, Liz, sauntering_vaguely and more!
